Venus’s Love Triangle
Venus’s Love Triangle is for when you’re pulled between two people, or two paths in love. Four cards: the theme, each connection, and some guidance.
The four positions sit as a triangle. Card 1, at the base, is the theme: what this choice is really about. Cards 2 and 3 are the first person and the second person. Card 4, at the top, is guidance.
Read the theme first, because it frames everything else. A Two of Wands might say the real question is about which direction your life takes; a Six of Cups might say the past is pulling at you. Sometimes the theme shows the choice isn’t really between two people at all.
Then read the two person cards side by side. Compare them on the same terms: suit, energy, direction, how settled or restless each feels. Read each card as what that connection is like for you, how it feels and what it offers, rather than as a judgement of the person or a window into their thoughts.
The Guidance card is advice about how to choose, not who to choose. Temperance might say “take your time and find the balance”; the Ace of Swords might say “be honest, with yourself first”. If the guidance points clearly towards one connection, you can say so, but the choice stays yours.
Use this spread for your own choices, never to work out how to win someone or to read someone else’s relationship behind their back. Tarot can help you see what each path offers you; it can’t make the decision kind or fair for you.
Your exercise
Practise comparing two connections: pick the reading that weighs both person cards fairly.
