Política de privacidad

Qué datos recogemos cuando usas Orbit Tarot, para qué, con quién los compartimos y qué puedes elegir.
Este texto solo está disponible en inglés, y se aplica la versión en inglés.
1. About this policy
This policy explains what personal information Orbit Tarot (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the Orbit Tarot website and apps, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, and, where they apply to you, other privacy laws such as the GDPR.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t show ads.
2. What we collect
Your account: your email address and name, how you sign in (for example with Google), and when you agreed to our Terms of Use and which version. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, our sign-in provider; we never see your password.
Your profile, if you add it: your name, date of birth and place of birth. These are optional and are only used to make readings more personal (for example for numerology or astrology).
Your readings: the questions you ask, your messages to Quinn, the cards drawn, Quinn’s answers, your practice readings and the feedback on them, your cards of the day, lesson progress and your settings. If “Quinn can see my readings” is on, we also keep a short note about you, written by AI from your readings, so Quinn can remember what matters to you.
What you post in the Reading Circle: your questions and readings, with the name on your account.
Purchases: what you bought, when, and your Orbs balance. Payments are handled by Stripe; we don’t receive or store your full card details.
How you use the app: pages and features used, visit length, where a visit came from (for example a search or a link), device and browser type, approximate location worked out from your IP address, and errors. We don’t record what you type in these analytics.
Messages you send us, for example to support.
3. Sensitive information
Questions to a tarot reader can be personal. What you write may reveal things like your health, relationships, sexuality or beliefs, which the law treats as sensitive information.
We only collect what you choose to share, and only use it to give you readings and keep the service safe. By sharing it in a reading, you consent to us handling it as this policy describes. If you’d rather not, please leave those details out; you can also delete readings or your account at any time.
4. How we use it
To provide Orbit Tarot: create and secure your account, give readings and practice feedback, keep your readings, progress and settings in step on every device, and remind you about your card of the day if you ask us to.
To process purchases and manage plans and Orbs.
To keep Orbit Tarot safe: our AI safety checks screen messages and answers, and we look at readings and reports to stop misuse and protect people.
To improve Orbit Tarot: we review AI conversations and usage analytics to fix problems and make readings better.
To contact you about your account, purchases, and important changes to Orbit Tarot or our terms. We won’t send marketing emails unless you agree to them.
If you’re in the EU or UK, the legal bases are: providing the service you signed up for (contract), our legitimate interests in keeping it safe and improving it, your consent (for sensitive information, which you can withdraw), and legal obligations.
5. AI and your readings
Quinn is AI. To write each answer, your question, messages, the cards, and (if you’ve added them and allowed it) your profile and past readings are sent to our AI provider, OpenAI. OpenAI processes them to produce the answer and may keep them for a limited time to detect abuse; it doesn’t use them to train its models.
We also send each AI request and answer to Langfuse, a service we use to monitor Quinn’s quality, cost and safety.
Quinn doesn’t make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
7. Where it’s stored
Some of our providers store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States (Clerk, OpenAI, Stripe, Amplitude) and the European Union (Langfuse), and Cloudflare works worldwide. We choose providers with strong security and privacy commitments, but the privacy laws of those countries may differ from Australia’s.
8. On your device
The app keeps your settings, drafts and recent activity in your browser or device storage so it works quickly and offline, and Clerk uses cookies to keep you signed in. Amplitude uses device storage to count visits. We don’t use advertising cookies or trackers.
9. How long we keep it
We keep your account information, readings and posts while your account is open, so you can look back on them.
AI monitoring logs and usage analytics are kept only for a limited time, then deleted. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require (in Australia, usually 5 to 7 years).
When you delete your account, we delete your personal information or make it anonymous within 30 days, except what we must keep by law. We keep only your account’s ID code, with nothing else about you, so that nothing is saved under it again. Copies in backups are deleted as the backups expire.
10. Keeping it safe
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls and providers with strong security practices. No system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee it. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we’ll tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the law requires.
11. Your choices and rights
You can see and change your profile and settings in You, turn off “Quinn can see my readings” in You → Settings, delete readings, and delete your account from You → Settings → Delete account.
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it, at [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may also be able to ask us to delete it, limit or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. We’ll reply within 30 days and won’t charge you for a reasonable request.
12. Age
Orbit Tarot is for people aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy when what we collect or how we use it changes, and show the date it last changed at the top. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
14. Contact and complaints
Questions or a privacy complaint: [email protected]. We’ll look into it and reply within 30 days.
If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au, 1300 363 992), or to the privacy regulator where you live.
